10 Ways to Earn Money Online

If you are reading this, you're probably itching to leave the rat race of the 9-5 grind or you may even just want to earn some extra income on the side. Maybe you just want to spend more time with your family or have more time to do the things you love such as travel.

You may even just have a burning desire to earn a 6 figure plus income with the freedom to be able to work from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Maybe you just hate your job. Whatever your reason, we always a choice to be able to change what is in our control.

Now I won't lie, it's the absolute dream to be able to earn multiple streams of passive or residual income and it's even better when doing so allows you the flexibility to work when you want and where you want. If you're anything like me, you may have found yourself scrolling through the internet researching and finding ways to be able to achieve this dream. You may have even purchased products or courses to further your knowledge.

I've written this article to make life easier for you. I want to save you the time, money and effort from gathering information and reading several websites and books. Here are 10 ways that you can earn money online. Before you read it, please be aware that nothing ever comes easy. In order to achieve any success in any endeavor, you must put in the work and you must have the right mindset. 

Making money online is no get rich quick scheme and if you stumble upon a website that claims so, I would advise that you be cautious. Nothing great ever comes easy and if you are serious about making money online, you must be prepared to put in some groundwork. In most cases without earning anything in the beginning. Making money online is basically starting your own business. Your income will depend on you and only you.

1. CREATE A BLOG - 

Find your niche'. Figure out what it is that you are passionate about. If you are passionate about it, you will never run out of ideas and things to write about. It doesn't even matter that you may not have any qualifications, heck, I didn't even finish high school and I am now a published writer. You're reading this now aren't you? Practice makes perfect and we all have to start somewhere. 

If you're niche' is specific and not one that is common, you will find that you will be able to grow your following quicker than if you were to talk about multiple topics. Nothing against having multiple topics, my blog page is on multiple topics, it just means that you will have to put in a little more work than if you had a specific and unique niche'.

WordPress is a great platform a lot of bloggers use to create their websites and it's also free. 2. SELL YOUR SERVICES TO FIVERR OR UPWORK

Fiverr is a global freelancing platform that connects businesses in need of services to independent professionals needing work. Fiverr allows you to offer your services to businesses that may need your expertise. It is an amazing platform as it allows you to work remotely. Upwork is very much the same but is more involved with the fields of writing, social media management, web development, accounting, graphic design and SEO training.

The downside to this is if you are new, be prepared to work for very little money in order to build your client reviews. The higher your ratings and reviews from clients, the more work you will be offered thus allowing you to charge higher rates. So just a heads up, you will be working doing high volume, low paying gigs at the start. It is also pretty competitive as there are a lot of other people offering lower rates for the same job. In saying this, I have found that Fiverr pays more than Upwork. 

3. Sponsored Posts

If you are smart about social media and have gained a loyal following, you can get sponsored to post certain pics and brands. A lot of businesses seem to source out the Influencers with large amount of followings. However, these days, with the amount of bots out in the market, businesses have now realised that it's not the amount of followers that necessarily matter, it's the quality of engagement.

4. WRITE AND SELL AN E BOOK

These days you can find a book on just about anything. If there is something you are good at, recipes no one knows about or even knowledge you would like to share with the world, why not earn some money from it? E- books can be as short or as long as you want. They don't need to get approved by publishers and can be sold directly from your website or social media pages.

5. CREATE AN AUDIO BOOK

Audio books are now rising in popularity along with podcasts. Maybe this is due to people being on the run and not having enough time to be able to sit and indulge in reading a physical book or maybe it is just convenient to listen than to read. To make life easier for yourself, I would suggest to create an E book first and then transition that into an audio book.

6. EMAIL MARKETING

This is the gold to every successful digital entrepreneur. If done right, email marketing can be a very powerful tool. This takes time and effort but with the correct procedures and strategies in place, you can find some serious success in this money spot. If people are subscribing directly to you, you will most probably find you have a higher success rate than trying to email people from out of the blue. If they are subscribed to you and your brand, these email subscribers are genuinely interested in what you have to say therefore allowing more room for success. 

7. START A YOU TUBE CHANNEL

Now unless you strike lucky and become an overnight success, you will find that this is requires a lot of work, dedication and commitment. Trust me, I have my own channel that you can find here. Any good YouTuber is passionate about what they do as they have been doing it consistently for quite some time in order to get the subscribers and the views.

It is very rewarding if you decide to start your channel, you will be the actor, the producer, the editor and the director. It is definitely a great way to learn and if done right can pay off over time. Who wouldn't want to get paid filming the things they are passionate about?

8. AFFILIATE MARKETING

Once you have set up some sort of online presence and following, you can start to monetize your blog/youtube/social media platforms by becoming an affiliate. This means that you can earn a percentage from sales from your chosen companies. This can be done with ads on your site, links in your blogs (as I have done) or even discount codes and affiliate links.

Choose carefully in who you will want to affiliate with, you can potentially taint your reputation and credibility by promoting the wrong products and/or services. One of the affiliate programs I use is ShareASale. There are a ton of products, business and services you can promote and if you are a merchant, it's also a great place to register in order for you to find more leads. 

9. BECOME A FREELANCE WRITER

Apart from heading to Fiverr or Upwork, you can either source businesses yourself for freelance work or if you have built yourself a strong enough reputation, you may even get approached to write for other companies. With the power of the internet, we have some amazing platforms where you can source for freelance work such as LinkedIn, Seek, Craigslist and the list goes on. My suggestion here is to find a niche' that interests you or you will quickly become bored writing about topics you have no desire in. 

10. NETWORK MARKETING

If you're anything like myself, as soon as you hear the words "MLM, pyramid scheme or network marketing" you make a run for the hills. That was me up until last year. It was only when I was approached to become a part of a company that was focused on customers and delivering to the community did I stop to consider the opportunity presented to me. All of their philosophies and values aligned with my own and it wasn't a company that was focused on recruiting, they were focused on making a difference in the world. There are several companies out there with many people earning a decent 6 figure income doing network marketing. It's the easiest way to start a business without having to worry about inventory, logistics, book keeping and the start up cost is extremely low compared to you going out there and building a business from scratch.
