5 Tips to Attract More Luck

The last year was a roller coaster of highs and lows, achievements and lessons. There's a well known quote by Seneca, a Roman philosopher, "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity". In other words, when you are persistently pursuing your goals, even when you don't see immediate results, the universe has a funny way of bringing about opportunities to help you reach what your heart desires.

At times we tend to think that successful people are just lucky. We don't actually see the hard work that these "lucky" people do behind closed doors to attract this "luck". In the book "The Secret", it states that we can all have whatever we want, as long as we believe. Once we believe, we take action towards our goals and we will most definitely achieve.

The year is coming to an end and we are about to turn over another leaf and start a new year. I in fact am super excited for it. I have a strong feeling that next year is where big things are going to happen. I feel it in my bones and I feel that we can all make next year epic and attract more "luck". Below is 5 simple tips to help attract more "luck" into our lives.

1 ) THINK AND REFLECT

Let's look back at all of the things that have happened in the last twelve months. What were the highs? What were the lows? What did we learn from the situations that didn't quite work in our favour? What worked? What didn't? What can we do differently next time? All of these questions are important to ask ourselves. Life is a constant learning curve and those that succeed must be willing to learn. When we have clarity, we start to make better decisions.

2) SET GOALS

We are starting a new year, let's think about what we want to accomplish. No matter how big or small our goals are, we should set these goals with intent and be clear about what we want. Once we know what we want, consistency is always key. Even just by doing one thing every day that is in line with achieving our goals, the results are inevitable.  Of course, if we do more than one thing each day, we will achieve faster results.

3) CREATE A VISION BOARD

If we have a vision board where we can see our goals every day, it triggers something in our subconscious minds to help us reach these goals. Having a vision board creates intent and purpose. It's also a nice reminder for us to see what it is we want to achieve and what we are striving for. When we look at the board, imagine that it is already ours. Imagine that we have already achieved all that is on the board. Don't just think it, feel it. It doesn't necessarily have to be a vision board, it could be a written list.

Personally, I have a wish jar. I write my goals and intents on a piece of paper, really think about the wish I desire and then visualize myself achieving that wish. I even feel the goosebumps, the emotions, the feeling of accomplishment and happiness rush over me as I deposit my wish into my jar. It's the law off attraction at it's purest form. I highly recommend reading the book or watching the movie if you haven't already.

4) DO THINGS THAT FEED YOUR SOUL

Whether it is being outdoors with nature, going to the gym or walking the dog, do things that you love regularly. When we are doing things we love, we emit a certain frequency. It's a frequency of happiness and when we are vibrating on this level, good things and even people tend to be attracted to us. We start to attract more positivity into our lives just by taking care of ourselves. So eat well, keep active and do things that make you happy.

5) COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

Life can be tough at times and it's especially hard to be positive when we are in a negative situation or if something happens outside of our control. Instead of counting all of the things that have gone wrong or could go wrong, focus on what has gone right and what could go right. There is a universal law that whatever we focus on grows. Have you ever noticed when you are having a bad day, get a little grumpy and then all of a sudden it's one bad thing after another?

The key to happiness is perspective. Happiness is a state of mind not a destination. If every morning when we wake and every evening before we sleep, we all thought about the things we had and were grateful for, we would see that the universe will give us more things to be happy about. It's funny how it all works. If we are thankful, we receive more things to be thankful for.

We are still alive, we are still breathing and the world is full of endless opportunities for all of us. If we want to be lucky, we need to act lucky. If we believe we are lucky, we will be lucky. It's the law of the universe and it's an unspoken fact of life. Our thoughts create our reality so get thinking good vibes and watch your whole world change right in front of your eyes!
